I was going to share the amusing headline that I found last night, but you hadn't written anything about headlines recently, so I went and shared it on another copy editing blog instead.
If I'd known you were going to write about headlines the next day, I would have waited!
From http://www.physorg.com/news173942032.html "Americans concerned about heart health, but not proactive enough to prevent it".
So tell me ... are you proactive enough to prevent health?
Seeing as my previous comment involved something I found at PhysOrg, I'll add another, though this one is not a headline.
From http://www.physorg.com/news174032146.html "The universe has much lower entropy than is theoretically possible".
It's nice to know that the universe is not theoretically possible, but in this case it's supposed to say that the universe has a much lower entropy than the maximum that is theoretically possible.
Oy. I still forget to make sure my comments line up right with the stuff I'm commenting on. Anyway the entropy one is interesting because it's so perfectly clear what the writer is saying. I'm not sure how I feel about that one.
Then again, I've had exactly three sips of coffee and am not yet awake enough to match socks ...
Well, it made me laugh. As I recall, you've said that if the way you write causes people to laugh at you, it gets edited. That would be a good reason not to let the entropy thing through.

That is pure gold. I think I see the invisible hand of the Mayonnaise Council.

True, it really is all about the reader's experience. And there was definitely something funky goin' on there.
